Elden Ring has managed to gather an immense amount of hype since the release of the open-world, RPG, action-adventure game. Many new players are diving into the game due to the glowing reviews it has received from various critics and the players. One element that has sparked intrigue in the mind of the players is the extensive Class system that the game provides.
In total there are 10 Classes to choose from, each having its unique traits, abilities, strengths, weaknesses and more. Players are having a hard time choosing the class that works best for them due to the ample number of choices. The Hero Class is one that has been garnering a lot of attention from the players, check out more information about the Hero Class in Elden Ring below:
- Level 7
- Vigor 14
- Mind 9
- Endurance 12
- Strength 16
- Dexterity 9
- Intelligence 7 Faith 8
- Arcane 11
The dominant characteristics of this character are Strength, Endurance and Vigor, the Hero class is similar to the Warrior class that was present earlier in the game. This is another great class for players that do not wish to use sorcery and use melee attacks in the game.
The starting equipment for the Hero Class includes a Battle Axe, Leather Shield and the Champions Armor Set. For the Keepsake it is recommended to get the Golden Seed for all classes. The Golden Seed provides the player with an extra flask that can be used towards adding extra health or extra mana.
Building the Hero Class in Elden Ring
As a Hero the players will be wielding the heavier weapons of the game, therefore they should concentrate on upgrading the Strength attribute first. After that, the players should concentrate on Endurance as this is a stamina hungry build and upgrading Endurance will provide the players with more stamina and also allow them to carry heavier armour. The third stat that players should focus on is Vigor, as it reduces the damage taken by each enemy hit, ensuring the survivability of the player. The final stat the players should concentrate on is Dexterity as this will increase the damage inflicted by melee attacks and also some weapons have Dexterity level requirements that players will have to meet in order to use it.
Combat Strategy for Hero Class in Elden Ring
As this is a Strength Dominant class, players will be able to use heavier weapons in the game. There are two ways that players can approach enemies with this class. First is carrying a shield in one hand and the axe in the other, this will allow the players to stagger enemies by blocking their attacks and then provide devasting blows with the axe. The other way would be to use the axe or a greatsword in a two-handed manner, this decision would increase the damage the player inflicts but sacrifices protection.
Equipment
The starting equipment for the Hero Class is pretty decent, but the players will grow out of them quickly when the stronger enemies enter the scene. The first thing that players should do is replace the Champions Armor Set, this can be replaced by the Knight Armor Set that can be purchased from the Merchant located in the Roundtable Hold. The set will include a Knight Helm, Knight Armor, Knight Gauntlets and Knight Greaves.
The second thing that players should replace is the Leather Shield if they wish to use the Axe and Shield combination, the Brass Shield will be a much better pick for them and provide them with 100% physical block. The Battle Axe is a great weapon to start with, but if the players wish to use a different type of weapon then they can go for the Lordsworn’s Greatsword, which can be found in a chest behind a carriage located in the Gatefront Ruins.
