Far Cry 6 has been released for some time now and the players are aching for some new content for them to try out. The game released towards the end of 2021 and while entering 2022 the game will need to provide some new content to keep their player based immersed.
Far Cry understands the need for new content and has provided just that for the new players, in their upcoming update the developers are providing a brand new crossover mission with Stranger Things along with a free trial weekend.
Far Cry 6 Stranger Things Crossover Mission and Free Trial Weekend Details
Far Cry 6 is going above and beyond to bring in new players and retain their old ones, in a recent Twitter post, the game informed the players about the upcoming Stranger Things crossover mission called The Vanishing along with the free trial weekend. The free trial weekend will begin from March 24, 2022 and it will continue till March 27, 2022.

The Vanishing will bring a stealth-horror-survival gameplay experience to Far Cry players for the first time with mysterious characters and new lore. In The Vanishing, players will enter a twisted version of Yara inspired by the Upside-Down, where Dani discovers that Yarans are disappearing and no one is safe – not even Chorizo. Players will be able to explore Stranger Things-inspired locations, such as a hidden bunker and an abandoned laboratory. Dani’s mission – with new skins for a flamethrower and shotgun – is to search for Chorizo and find out what happened to the abducted Yarans.

To access the free trial, the players will have to pre load Far Cry 6 on their desired platform from March 22, 2022. The platforms that players can pre load Far Cry 6 on the following platforms; Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC.
The Free Trial weekend provides the players with loads of content, not only do they get access to the new Stranger Things crossover mission, The Vanishing, but also all the DLC’s that have been released to date for Far Cry 6, which sounds like an unbelievable thing but it is true.
All the content that will be provided through the Free Weekend will be playable through co-op mode. Players that are interested in continuing their journey past the free weekend can purchase the game and season pass at exclusive discounts, check them out below:
- Ubisoft Store: From now until the end of March, get up to 50% off as part of the Spring Sale.
- Xbox: As part of Xbox’s Deal of the Week, from March 24-28 players can get 50% off all editions of the game, as well as 35% off the Season Pass.
