Fortnite’s The Foundation has arrived in the Battle Pass along with The Foundation Special Quests. Completing them will earn you Foundation-themed rewards like a The Rock skin. The Foundation quests are 11 challenges players have to complete around the island in order to get the limited edition rewards: like visiting various POIs or dealing damage with certain weapons. In this IGN Foundation guide, we’ll walk you through all 11 quests with maps and tips for each and every objective.
Use Shield Potions in a match
Players simply have to acquire and consume four Shield Potions in a match, which means you’ll also have to be okay with taking some damage in between consuming potions. This will give you the True Foundation Spray emote.
Search Ammo Crates at Covert Cavern
Covert Cavern is a new POI that thawed as part of the 19.20 update. You’ll find it under the mountain on the west side of the island. The secret base inside is patrolled by a lot of IO guards, so you’ll have to be careful.
Luckily, though, this gives you chances to complete other Foundation quests like Use shield potions in a single match since the IO Forces aren’t quite as life-threatening as other players. This objective will award you with the Foundation Fortune emote.
Deal Headshot DMG with Common or Uncommon weapons to other Players
Pick up any weapon that is highlighted in grey or green and start firing. You’ll get the Foundation Combat Elite Skin style for this.
Visit Mighty Monument, a Seven Outpost, and Sanctuary
Sanctuary and the Mighty Monument are both over on the east side of the island. Luckily, there’s a Seven Outpost right there, too, so it’s a small detour to stop at. They’re shown with the red pins on this map below. Sanctuary and Mighty Monument may be a bit cramped cause of all the crowds, but you don’t have much choice but to head over there. There are six other Seven Outposts around the island you can head to instead (highlighted in blue). This will give you the Foundation Skin as a reward.
Land at a Seven Outpost and reach the Top 10
Refer to my map above about the locations of Seven Outposts, survive long enough to get to the Top 10 and reap the reward of a Rocket Wing Glider.
Deal Melee Damage to enemies
This may be the most straightforward and easiest to accomplish. You’ll need to deal a total of 100 DMG points with your Harvesting Tool to complete this objective, so if you want to complete it in a single match and survive, you’ll need to land near some folks and start attacking before they pick up a weapon. Thus you shall be rewarded with the Foundation Plasma Spike Pickaxe.
Snipe with a sniper rifle while crouching
This is relatively straightforward; all it requires is a steady aim and a good shot. Try hiding in tall grasses to maximize your chances. This will give you the Foundation’s Mantle Back Bling.
Hire a companion and travel 1000M with them
There are eight NPC Characters you can Hire — Brainiac, Cuddlepool, The Visitor, Galactico, Jonesy The First, Lt. John Llama, Shanta and Agent Jones. Hiring them will cost you 95 Gold Bars. Once you hand over your life-savings, you just have to keep them alive for 1,000 meters. You’ll get the Foundation Wrap reward for this.
Deal DMG to other players with an SMG or Shotgun from above
Your best chance to complete this Quest is to stick to rooftops and higher floors. You have to deal a total of 1,000 damage, so this one will take a few matches to complete. This will award you with the Foundation (Tactical) Skin style.
Assist in eliminating Gunnar
IDK what Gunnar did to deserve this, but you’ll find Gunnar deep inside the secret base at Covert Cavern (he has no helmet and a shield). To complete this Quest, you don’t actually have to eliminate him. You only have to shoot at him a few times. This assisted murder will give you the Tactical Visor Toggle emote.
After you do all these objectives, you shall complete the objective “Complete all Foundation Quests” and receive the Ultimate Reward: Foundation (Combat) Skin style.
