One of the most intriguing and the most hyped up conversations will always be about the upcoming Rockstar title, GTA 6. Leaks and rumours have become a new normal for Rockstar as they try to contain their operations for the upcoming flagship title. In recent news our prayers were answered when we were informed that there is a chance that Rockstar might have a reveal ready by the end of 2022.
GTA 6 Leaks: Iconic Cities, Returning Characters and More
Since this news broke, the circulation of rumours and leaks have increased by tenfold and we have received some very exciting news for the upcoming title, there is a chance, the slightest bit of chance that players might be able to fly to the iconic cities and landscapes that have been used in the previous GTA titles.
Well this news should be taken with a grain of salt as it doesn’t come officially from Rockstar, but it is as close as it gets. In a recent interview with SAY CHEESE!, Shawn Fonteno, the voice actor for Franklin in GTA V had some exciting expectations for the upcoming GTA 6 launch.
When he was asked about what he wants from GTA 6, Shawn mentioned that he would love to see characters such as CJ, Niko, Tommy and more could return at their ages calculated according to the present times. He said that he would love to see how the events turned out for these special characters of this massive franchise. He wishes for one big reunion for these iconic characters.
Another thing that he mentioned was that he wishes GTA 6 to have a flying feature where the players can travel back and forth from the realistically developed cities such as Los Santos, Vice City and Liberty City. The ideal situation would be for the protagonist to travel to these iconic locations and meet the greats of the previous GTAs and have the story aligned around them.
Rockstar is known to bring back characters as easter eggs or probably as a laugh in their games. The likes of Niko Bellic, Brucie Kibbutz and more have already gotten mentions in GTA V, Johnny Klebitz was also shown in the beginning of GTA V, just to get battered to death by Trevor in his introductory cut-scene. Nevertheless, Rockstar has a reputation to bring back characters, so it can be assumed that maybe some part of Fonteno’s statements may contain some truth.
Shawn Fonteno is also infamous for leaking previous information about GTA Online, he posted an image of the new ‘The Contract’ update a few hours before the official update came out, it was deleted hastily. So maybe he has cryptically mentioned something about what lies ahead in GTA 6.
