Leaks have become the main source of information for upcoming flagship titles as studios are becoming more reserved about what they have been working. A latest leak on Twitter provides the players with information about what Naughty Dog has got cooking under the covers.
The leak originates from a Twitter post by Oops Leaks and it shines light on a lot of information that could presumably be under the works. This leak was further explained by a user on reddit, providing analysis about the leak. Check out the Twitter post and the Reddit post below:

The reddit author for this post has clearly mentioned that this information has to be taken with a grain of salt, just like all the other leaks as it the information does not come from any official source. Nevertheless, let’s get into the information that has been revealed through these series of leaks.
The Last of Us 2 Online Game
Yes, it seems like the team is planning to create an online version of Last of Us 2, just like they have done with Uncharted 4. But instead of death matches and other combat modes, it seems like the developers will be opting for a battle royale version for the players.
The leaker described it as ‘as a mix of Tarkov and Division with additional modes inspired by the original Factions MP’. It seems like Naughty Dogs will be making this game free-to-play and it will first release on the PS5 and then PC. It seems like the game will look and feel a lot like the upcoming survival MMO title, The Day Before.
Oops leaks also had to say this in the same thread, “The game is a flagship PS live service title that will probably be the first of ten that are planned to be released. I expect it to be announced within this year with a release in early 2023, this is just my guess.”
New Naughty Dog IP
Well the F2P title was not the only leak faced by Naughty Dog, Oops leak further mentioned in the same thread that Naughty Dog is working on a brand new IP. This new IP will be Fantasy themed and is currently under full production by the developers.

The Last of Us part 3
Some details about a sequel for the Last of Us franchise were also unveiled in the same thread. Oops leaks stated ‘Nothing but official statements from the studio, the outline of the script is ready, but the studio is engrossed in the development of the aforementioned projects. It is possible that development will begin faster than expected due to studio’s expansion.’
This is very exciting news for the players as they know that when Naughty Dogs works to deliver something, they do not disappoint. It will also be exciting to see Naughty Dog’s take on battle royale, the new IP and if a sequel is in the works. Players will just have to wait for an official announcement to really know whether this information is true or not.
